He has worked in the substance abuse field as a group facilitator, recovery coach and primary therapist for the last four years. He is currently working to earn his Doctor of Social Work at Barry University so he may broaden his ability to serve his clients. His passion for substance abuse is both professional and personal as he believes in second chances and every person’s potential for growth. His areas of expertise include trauma-informed care, substance abuse and PTSD treatment. Peter’s passion for helping those in need combined with his expansive knowledge regarding the therapeutic techniques make him an important part of our client care team at Evolutions.

Megan Winchester

PRIMARY THERAPIST

Megan has worked as a clinical therapist since 2014. She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology and her Masters in Clinical Social Work, both from the University of Kentucky. Megan is motivated by her personal and clinical experience with addiction and recovery. She believes in the unlimited potential of recovering alcoholics and addicts and strives to change the stigma of addiction through providing education and supporting patients and families through the treatment process. Her passion for helping those struggling with substance abuse is matched by her knowledge and expertise in the field, and she works hard to advance her education regarding addiction as well as her client’s understanding of their own substance abuse disorder and underlying causes.

Jackie Gilreath

PRIMARY THERAPIST

Jackie Schulman received her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University and went on to achieve a Masters Degree in Social Work from Florida International University. Jackie gained experience at Women in Distress, a domestic violence center in Broward county where she advocated for survivors of domestic violence and provided supportive counseling. She also gained experience providing individual and group therapy for those victims also struggling with substance abuse and severe mental illness. Jackie developed her passion for working with individuals with trauma and substance abuse disorders during her time at Women in Distress. Jackie uses her therapeutic skills to help her clients identify the needs they are trying to meet through substance use and empower them to develop and utilize healthier coping skills to meet those needs. Jackie strives to build trusting and honest relationships with her clients, and loves watching them grow in their recovery with her help and guidance.
