Evolutions Treatment Center wants to be sure that your holidays are full of good cheer, joy, and a sense of family togetherness. They understand that the holidays are a tough time for families touched by addiction as the old feelings stirred up by memories of being stolen from, being lied to, or having a family member in and out of treatment are wounds. For the person still in active addiction, simply seeing your loved one suffering can be too fresh and painful an experience for some.
Evolutions Treatment Center is working to treat clients so that future holidays are not plagued with these feelings when your loved one is sober and remaining sober. They utilize excellent therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and behavioral staff to uncover the underlying reasons for substance abuse. These may be things like: trauma, depression, anxiety, guilt, or grief. In giving an accurate psychiatric diagnosis, proper medication can be started and symptoms monitored for the best outcomes. Therapy is provided in groups and individually so that each person gets the care they need to grow and thrive. Once these underlying issues are uprooted, the client can be free of the reasons for use and eliminate the need for future masking of symptoms. Additionally, clients are taught coping skills for when things go wrong in life, and skills for relapse prevention such as: conflict management, emotional regulation, and refusal skills. Clients are taught to be aware of the people, places, and things that led to use or past relapse, and how to recognize and avoid those triggers.
The holidays are a time of stress for many people, and people in addiction or recovery are not exempt from these stressors. Evolutions Treatment Center is there for your loved one now, so your future holidays can be warmly spent together in sobriety.
